Can you explain your guarantee and returns policy?

Our Guarantee

The boys @ ilikewine have taste tested every single bottle of wine on the site. Unless a wine meets our extremely high standards, we will not stock it. 90% of the wines on the site have won awards or are highly rated by accredited wine experts. We won’t settle for inferior boutique wine and neither should you!

There are different reasons why you might choose to return a product:

You have changed your mind

If you change your mind about your purchase ilikewine will exchange the product as long as it is unused, unopened and returned within 7 days of original dispatch. The cost to send the product back to ilikewine’s Victorian office will be paid for by you unless there is proof that the product was faulty or did not match your order before it was sent to you.

Breakage

We take time to ensure that all products are properly packed before we pass them on to you. In the unlikely event that you receive an order which includes a breakage we will exchange the product or provide you with a full refund for its value. In the event that you receive a broken bottle, send us an email first so that we are aware of your issue.

How to return products

When returning items, please package them securely and enclose a copy of the original tax receipt. Please include an explanation detailing the reason for return. ilikewine takes no responsibility for returned items that are lost in transit and suggests that the item be sent to us using registered post or a reputable courier service (with a tracking number) and with postal insurance.

Once we have received the returned products we will assess the course of action. Approved exchanges will be processed within 24 hours and refunds processed within 7 working days. Refunds can only be paid into the bank account that the product was purchased from in the first place.

Can you explain your privacy policy?

To process orders it is necessary to obtain some personal information. The minimum information needed to process your order will be requested.

Your details will be kept confidential at all times. Your information will not be shared, passed on or sold to anyone outside of our business. This information will remain with us in confidence.

If you pay online using a credit card, the card details are not viewed by us or any person except you during the transaction. The details are encrypted and passed directly to Eway, our trusted payment gateway provider. We do not retain your credit card details.

We collect site traffic information so we can continually improve site content and design. This does not provide information relating to individual users and only provides generalised information relating to pages viewed by customers.

Do I have to prove that I am 18 or more years of age?

Yes. I Like Wine will only deliver to persons 18 years of age or older.

When we deliver your order we will check that you at least 18 years of age and will require official photograph ID to do this. You are unable to receive your order until our courier reviews your photo identification to prove that you are not underage so please ensure that you have this available.

Do your prices include GST?

Yes, all prices shown on our website include GST and are in AUD currency.

How can I contact I Like Wine?

Our wine experts will respond to your email enquiry within one hour of receiving it between 9:00am – 5:00pm Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST), Monday to Friday.

How do I add items to my cart?

When you find an item that you would like to buy, simply add it to your shopping cart.

To do this click the "Add to Cart" button attached to each product image. Repeat the process for each product that you wish to buy.

Click the "View Cart" button in the top right hand corner of the website shopping page and all items in your shopping cart will now be displayed.

NOTE: For half dozen or more purchases, a flat delivery fee of $10 applies*. For purchases of $300 or more, freight is free*

If you want to make a change to your shopping cart, press the “Remove” or “Clear Cart” buttons.

How do I pay for items in my shopping cart?

Select the items you want to purchase using the “Add to Cart” button.

To proceed to your shopping cart, click on the "View Cart" button in the top right hand corner of the shopping pages and all items in your shopping cart will be displayed. I

Chose your shipping option. If you have difficulty determining where you’re shipping location is, click the “Where is my Shipping Location” button for more information. Once this option has been selected, click the “Checkout" button at the bottom of your shopping cart to progress your order.

The final screen in the checkout process is the payment details page. Here you enter your name, contact details and payment details. Carefully check to ensure that all your details are correct, enter your preferred payment option and then click the "Submit" button once and your order will be processed.

Once you have paid for the items in your shopping cart you will be directed to the order confirmation page.

An email will also be sent to you confirming receipt of your order.

How will I know if a product is out of stock?

The ilikewine website displays hundreds of different wines.

We strive to maintain all items in stock, however, on some occasions we may sell out due to high demand.

Once we are aware that a product is out of stock its unavailability is immediately indicated.

When you make your order we always double check availability with our warehouse. If you order an item that is then found to be out of stock we will immediately contact you by email and you then have a variety of options:

  1. Cancel your entire order
  2. Request a refund for the out of stock item (we will process this request the same day)
  3. Wait until the item is back in stock (we can provide a new estimated delivery date)
  4. Modify your order selection (we can suggest similar alternative products)

How will I know if the order has been processed?

Once you have paid for the items in your shopping cart you will now be directed to the order confirmation page. From here we use email to keep you up to date with the status of your purchase.

Order Confirmation

An email confirming receipt of your order will be sent to you soon after making your online order. If you do not receive this email within a few minutes it is possible that there is an issue with the email address that you have provided.

What are my payment options?

We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express. We also have a Paypal payment option.

As you proceed with your purchase the website will prompt you for your credit card details. Payments are processed by Eway, so your transaction will be instantaneously processed by this reputable payment gateway provider. When will my order be delivered?

All orders are delivered by Fastway Couriers and your signature is required to make sure that you (and no one else) receive the package. It is a requirement that the person that receives and signs the package is at least 18 years of age and we always check your ID before handing over the package.

Goods will be delivered during normal business hours. If you are not at home, the delivery driver will leave a calling card. If you believe that there will be no one home to accept delivery, you can complete an Authority to Leave Form. Typically your order will arrive within 1-7 business days from the time of your order, depending on your location.

I Like Wine takes no responsibility for lost orders resulting from customers not providing the correct postal address. We also do not deliver to PO Boxes.

Who pays for freight?

The purchaser of the goods pays for the freight.

To calculate these costs you select the appropriate field in the drop down menu.

Deliveries within Australian

When you are at the check out phase of your order you can use the drop down menu to select the correct shipping cost based upon your location within Australia. The cost of shipping includes GST and is added to your purchase total when you go to the checkout.

Deliveries outside of Australia

As there is too much red tape regarding deliveries outside of Australia, we unfortunately do not provide this service.
