When Amabile from Drocco farmhouse was a child, he was called 'Amabilin.' Now this name has been chosen for the wine to pay homage to the family and origins.
Traditional Burgundian techniques and minimal handling has produced a Pinot Noir with an intense bouquet of cherries and plums. Flavours of tobacco and spice complement a rich silky palate with a purity of fruit and finely integrated tannin structure.
Three classic varieties combine to complement each other. Sauvignon Blanc provides zesty citrus & tropical fruit, with raspberry & watermelon characters from the Pinot Noir & Shiraz.
An outstanding Shiraz which on its own shows incredible balance and lacks in nothing. Right from the abundant and silky fruit to the elongated and fine tannins, the Shiraz from the Piombo vineyard in Sellicks (McLaren Vale) is a piece of work.
