Scott Fiano
|
Fiano, an ancient variety originating from the Campania region of Italy,
loves our Adelaide Hills summers and retains great natural acidity
which allows time to develop some gorgeous ripe fruit characters. It opens with aromas of lemon, pear, spice, summer flowers, nutmeg and
honeydew which lead the bright, dry palate exhibiting the usual suspects
of grapefruit, pear, nectarine and melon. This Fiano also tends to have
chameleon-like qualities which, depending on the food and situation,
can really test your senses as it ranges through a spectrum of citrus
and tropical fruits! The depth of fruit, balanced acidity and
mineral-like quality enhances the long clean finish.
