E Bass Shiraz
|
The E Bass Shiraz is a tribute to the famous local brass band who played on the Barossa Valley Estate from 1927 to 1938. The band’s most treasured instrument was the Circular E-flat Bass, purchased with money raised at local concerts. This wine is testament to the superb growing conditions of this iconic wine region and honours the rich cultural history of the Barossa Valley.
The wine is deep rich vibrant purple red. Aromas of ripe dark berries, plums and spice, complemented by subtle sweet oak. A medium bodied rich palate, concentrated dark fruit flavours abound on peppery spice, with hints of toasty oak. Lovely persistence of fruit and flesh, with a firm acid backbone supporting the wine structure.
