Monastrell (also known in Australia as Mataro or Mourvèdre in France) is
a Spanish variety widely planted along the Mediterranean coast.
Deep, dark ruby in colour. It is spicy on the nose with a touch of red currants. Meaty and savoury on the palate with richness and vibrant tannins.
