Pelješac, produced from the native Plavac Mali variety on the Pelješac peninsula, is characterized by its dark ruby red colour, pronounced varietal aroma and pleasant bitter-sweet flavour resulting from the residual sugar which is what distinguishes it from Plavac.

It should be served chilled to 18 °C with fine grilled fish, rabbit and lamb dishes.
