Bigi vineyards have been cultivated in Umbria, “the green heart of Italy” and a crossroads between the north and the south, between the Adriatic and Tyrrhenian Seas, since Etruscan times. When we speak of Orvieto, we think of a beautiful walled city built on a tuffstone mound by the Etruscans, and known in the Roman era as Urbs Vetus (old city) – but also of the prized white Umbrian wine of which Bigi has been a leading producer for many years.

Bigi Orvieto Classico DOC Secco is a classic dry white wine which is blended from five different grape varieties which combine to produce a fresh, smooth and easy drinking white wine.

Made from a blend of Trebbiano Grechetto Verdello Malvasia & Drupeggio. Dry and full-bodied on the palate, Bigi Orvieto Classico DOC Secco has a lively flavour with a unique aftertaste of white peaches and almonds. Very fresh and with a fruit-forward bouquet. The palate shows delicate fruit, peaches with a touch of nuttiness. The wine is smooth and well-rounded, with a long gentle finish.
