Helen’s Hill ‘Old Orchard’ Cabernets is a refined expression of a Bordeaux-style blend, showcasing the elegance and structure that the cooler Yarra Valley climate brings to this classic varietal combination. In a vintage celebrated for its balance and depth, this wine weaves together Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Malbec, and Petit Verdot into a seamless and layered whole.

Aromas of blackberry, cassis, and raspberry are lifted by savoury tones of dried herbs, red capsicum, and subtle oak spice. On the palate, it is medium-bodied with fine, structured tannins and a line of bright acidity that carries the wine through to a long, poised finish.

Already drinking beautifully, this wine will reward patience and careful cellaring through to 2037. It’s an ideal partner for richly flavoured dishes such as slow-roasted lamb shoulder, pork belly with crispy crackling, or a perfectly marbled ribeye steak.
